Without overwriting existing shares on the target server.
Question
I have never had to do this before, so I am researching this issue, but have not found a good solution.
The server will be retired. The boss wants all the shared resources on it to be migrated or replicated to another existing server with all users/authorities retained/restored on the new server. The target machine has some of its own shared resources that need to stay.
I thought I had found a solution, but I read in the "fine print" that it would overwrite all existing shares on the target machine. So it is not suitable for this case :-/.
Any help or suggestions are welcome.
