Los 40 Principales is a Spanish radio and television station specializing in popular music from the English and Spanish languages. The station was founded in the 1960s in Madrid. It was originally part of the Cadena SER radio network at

There are now several LOS40 stations in different countries, including Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, and Peru.
Since its inception, the radio show has had over 2200 songs reach the number one spot on the Spanish chart. Some of these songs have been number one for 15 weeks or more. The format is based on Pop and Latino music.
