They look like they can be recycled just like plastic grocery bags. After making sure with my local grocery store, Publix, that they recycle plastic grocery bags, I now bring all of my ziploc bags there to be recycled.
From what I know, the plastic bags are ground up and made into little plastic pellets, which are then used to make other plastic items. As long as the plastic bags are clean, dry, and free of food, leaves, and other organic materials, they can be recycled. Reported by
